CUSLI Home

The Cooper Union Satellite Launch Initiative (CUSLI) is a student-led group with a passion for exploration. CUSLI offers an applicable and immersive learning experience where we explore the professional design, development, and research process through the development of a nano-satellite.

We offer students first hand experience in experimentation, design, and development of the CubeSat. CUSLI hosts bi-weekly meetings for the entire group as well as weekly meetings for the subgroup leads in sprint style, to best manage tasks at hand and allow for fluid communication between each and every member.

The project is both research based and design oriented, offering Cooper Union students the opportunity to explore the world of aerospace from the lens of technical skills and concepts taught in class. The complexity of each aspect of the satellite, from chassis to communications, and the interactions between each system on the satellite allows for students of different majors to engage in different fields of engineering.
